Traveling Thursdays.

I once asked a very good friend of mine how she could stand to be back in the Silver valley after living in a major metropolitan city, and traveling to such fairy book places such as Paris, Rome, Greece, and other cities and lands that I have only read about. My friend had been born and raised in the Valley, Mullan to be exact.

Her answer was " as long as I can get out of here a few times a year, I can come home and really appreciate it for what it is." Since I had been in an out of the Valley after living in some semi-exciting places I understood what she meant. When you grow up in a small town any spot other than home looks like  paradise, and you can't wait to grow up and get out. Then, when you come home for visits as you get older, you see things that you never saw as a kid.

Living in the Wallace is great if you can get out and see the rest of the world when you need to, and living in the rest of the world is great as long as you can get back home to Wallace for a refreshing visit when you need to.
