It's Football Saturday

Yes, and even our own Idaho Vandals are on television today. Tune in to Root Sports, Ch. 26 cable in the CDA area, and watch as the Vandals try to stop the high powered offense of the Wyoming Cowboys who gave the always good Nebraska Cornhuskers  a good game last week. Here is my prediction. Custer had more chance at the Little Big Horn than Idaho has today against Wyoming at the Cowboys home stadium. Wyoming 35-Idaho 7.I will gladly be proven wrong, though.

North Idaho scores from the Friday night high school gridiron are.

Wallace-50-Cusik 40-The Miners start the season 2 and 0. Arena and touch football are alive and well.

Grangeville 31-Kellogg 6-the Wildcats continue their losing football tradition, but at least they are still playing 11 man football, or at least a facsimile thereof.

Colton 62-Mullan 20-poor Tigers. I read where they have only 10 players on the team, not leaving much room for substitution and injuries in 8 man football.

OK, blasphemy of all blasphemies, isn't it time for the Silver Valley schools to join together and have one high school? Of course it should be in Wallace, and the name Miners should still be used.(:)

OK, the Silver Valley Muckers

Just like the Washington State Cougars have been dubbed with the expression "Cougin it" when they blow a game that they had won,the Silver Valley High could "Muck it"

I must have entirely too much time on my hands this morning. Oh well, what the muck!
