It has been a long week. My childhood idol, my older brother, found out about ten days ago while undergoing an MRI for an old back injury, that he has renal cell carcinoma. On Wednesday, they completely removed one of his kidneys. Everything is more complicated because he is a diabetic, and he also has some other major health issues. They think that they got the all of the cancer, and we are praying for the best. He is having a very painful and difficult time these first 48 hours. If any of you are so inclined, please say a pray of just send positive thoughts his way. God knows who he is. Thank you.

Update-brother is doing OK, go to chat with him for a few minutes this afternoon. The Dr told him that they got all of the cancer, so we are greatly relieved. He is in lots of pain, but actually displayed a bit of humor.
