Early Days Shop Class at Wallace High

Wallace (Idaho), Wallace High School, 1909 My how things have changed. This picture from the University of Idaho Digital Collection is that of the woodworking class at Wallace High School in 1909. Notice how all of the students are dressed. Hm, GF and I have been exchanging chat about Mr; Haskell's shop class when we were in Wallace Junior High. Somehow, I cannot imagine us dressed in shirts and ties for shop class, although we certainly dressed up more than kids do today.
