Honoring Labor
Labor Day, 2013. I wonder, do we honor labor like we use to? Those of us who grew up in Wallace certainly know all about labor, strikes, hard times, hard work, and hard play. Do any of you remember the films that they showed us in grade school sponsored by The Bunker Hill Company ? They always had this line " The people of the Coeur D' Alene Mining region who work hard and play hard." Workers died to make this day possible. Today, we honor the great achievement of the American worker both past and present. May we never forget the trials, the hardships, and the glorious achievements that made our great nation what it is today. Take one moment today and just say' thank you."
