I have never understood how beaches around lakes, rivers , and oceans can be owned by private individuals. I cannot understand how property on a mountain can be privately owned. I'm disgusted by the developments that I see in the mountains surrounding Coeur D' Alene. Are not mountains public land?
Even the Silver Valley has seen a spike in the developments in the mountains. Why was this allowed to happen?
I drive around Lake CDA, Fernan Lake, and Hayden Lake, and all that I see are mansions with no trespassing signs on the beaches. How can this be?
Bodies of water and mountains were meant to be community shared.
