It happened again in the world of the obvious, and I am loving it. Yep, the Dallas Mavericks "upset" the mighty Heat of Miami. In my opinion, and in the shadow world of the obvious that I subscribe to, it was not an upset. I picked Dallas in 6 from the beginning. Here are some of my other great pick over the years.
Cassius Clay over Sonny Liston when I was twelve.
Buster Douglas to knock out Mike Tyson
Evander Holyfield to knock out Tyson
Boise over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowel.
San Francisco Giants over the Texas Rangers in the World Series
How do I make such brilliant picks? I look over the obvious and see the obvious.
A. Pay no attention to the so called experts on ESPN and Fox. They always pick the obvious.
B Look into the eyes of the underdogs, and you can see the determination, and you will know what the obvious will be.
And the final sure fire method is one that my mother taught me as a kid, although I don't think that she meant for to be used to pick the obvious sports winner.
She said,"If everyone else is doing it, that is a good reason for not doing it." Works for me. Now, if I just had had the money to bet in Vegas on some of these big sports events, I would be a very, very, rich man.
