Around and around the leaders of our nation go in trying to decide what to do about the conglomerate financial mess they have created. How can we have the services that we need, and still balance the budget without raising income taxes. The solution is so simple that it will never happen
Do away with income taxes, and have a national sales tax. Everyone pays, no exemptions. Even crooks, hookers, and other assorted folks buy things. Do, it. Get it done. I have been contacting my Congressmen to express this simple, old idea.

Cedar: Having the persons who created the problem trying to dream up a solution is like asking a bank robber to hold your wallet while you deposit your money in the bank. Hookers? Here in the U.S.? Say it ain't so.
I heard one time through a third party that knew someone who had a third cousin whose next door neighbor had a barber whose sister-in law told him that she heard that there were hookers.
