Vandal Season Rushes Off To Early Start. Offense Falters, but Defense Shines.

The Vandal season got under way early in Moscow this year when Vandal heads coach, Paul Petrino, kicked off against Michael-Shawn Dugar, sports editor for the Moscow-Pullman Daily News. (I didn't even know that there was a Moscow-Pullman newspaper, I guess it covers both cities in hope that they will find at least two college students there who can read)

According to the story, Mr. Hyphenated Dugar dared to suggest that Idaho's vertical passing game was not doing very well. Coach Petrino took exception to that suggestion and used unprofessional language. Imagine that, a football coach using unprofessional language! Mr. Hpypenated Dugar went even further in this column and stated that Petrino lunged at him and that the Idaho coach had to be physically restrained. Coach Petrino and Idaho Athletic Director, Rob Spears, have both denied that Petrino had to be restrained,

It is my belief that Coach was just demonstrating the new rushing attack that the Vandal defense is working on. Furthermore, how dare anyone, even Mr. Hypenated, suggest that the Idaho Vandals under third-year coach Petrino have been anything but remarkably successful! After all, the record speaks for itself. The glorious Silver and Gold are 2 and 21 under his leadership. What could there possibly be to criticize?

Go Vandals.
