There resides within every man, woman, and child the dual nature of doing "good" and being "bad" Part of us longs for the spiritual nature that makes us feel pure, and part of us longs to rock and roll all night long. Some even manage to satisfy both natures by rocking and rolling all night on Saturday and then going to their chosen house of worship Sunday morning.
Perhaps cities and towns are no different because there exists within most towns, places of "sin" and multiple places of worship to seek forgiveness for the partaking in the places of sin. Wallace was no exception when it came to having multiple places of sin and places of worship.
There are men and even women all over the USA who know what you are
talking about when you say"Wallace, Idaho". The men get a far away nostalgic look, and the women may get a look of disgust, but many have memories of a bygone day when the well, let's say, animal nature ruled for a trip up the famous stairs.
Few, however, talk or remember the other half of the growing up Wallace experience. Wallace not only had fun, sin city, it had and still has some very fine houses of worship. Here are some of the beautiful churches that adorn the beautiful town of my birth. Wallace truly
represented the dual nature of mankind.
