Still Alive and Well in LLWS

Pacific      7
S Dakota 5

Tai was the starting pitcher today. He pitched his heart out, but did not have his best stuff today. He went to SS after finishing his stint on the mound, and made three really nice plays there. They will need the loser of the Texas/Philadelphia game Monday at noon on ESPN. Go Pacific.

Tai slides into third, but was called out after the replay.

Cedar: I saw that play. The replay was at a bad angle. The 3rd baseman's glove was closer to the camera angle and it appeared that it touched at this point. However, one of the other angles showed briefly showed that it was actually a half inch or so away from his leg at this point and it did not touch his leg until after his foot touched the bag. So much for replay.

I hate the replay for baseball. I am a purists when it comes to baseball, and why even have umpires if they can be overruled so easily? Umpires and human error are part of the game. And, by the way, I thought that it was a great slide and that he was safe. Of course, I am a little prejudiced.
