PNFL

PNFL. Interpretation? Why, the Polite National Football League, of course. Can you imagine for even one second trying to tell past stars like Ray Nitschke, Art Donavan, Alex Karras, Bill Romanaski, Deacon Jones, and Sandpoint and University of Idaho great, Jerry Kramer, that they had to behave and speak in a certain, non-offensive manner? I don't think so, but that is the way that it is today. If you don't walk the correct walk, and talk the correct talk, you are fined, suspended, or downright cut from the team. My, how things have changed.

I see a future in the NFL where players from both teams meet in the middle of the field at the end of the game, hold hands and sing Kumbaya. I can see a future in the NFL where, when a linebacker makes a ferocious hit on the opposing quarterback, and realizing that perhaps the hit was "too" hard, the linebacker apologies to the quarterback after helping him to his feet, and promising not to do it again.

The NFL is becoming so watered down that someday I can see the next big thing in games, the NFL Ballet! Yes, the fans are on their feet screaming in anticipation of another great move on the fled as the quarterback , dressed in helmet, pads, and a tutu, fades back to pass o his tippy toes, while the stadium PA system blares out the stirring 'Swan Lake". Perhaps this is what a future PNFL game will look like.
