Let me see if I understand this correctly. Some think that the church should not be involved with the decisions or the philosophy of the state, but the state should have the right to dictate the beliefs and conduct of the church. Oh, I get it, IT IS CALLED HYPOCRISY,
1. State forces a bakery to provide service for a gay wedding or face federal court, even though the owners of the bakery believed that gay marriage was wrong.
2. Catholic school in Bellevue fires a vice principal for marrying his male partner. The world is in an uproar. I am not saying the state is involved, at least not yet, but since gay marriage is legal in Washington, watch out.
3. The Federal Government is trying to force Catholic hospitals to perform abortions.
Now, please understand. I am not Catholic, and I am not a gay basher. My point is this. If an individual or a church truly believes that something is wrong, or is a sin, then they have every right to profess their belief and live and conduct their lives accordingly.
I can see the day coming when a minister could be arrested or charged with a hate crime for preaching what they believe to be Biblical truths.
Can't have it both ways, babe.
