"Stariway To Heaven"

It has become very fashionable and quite pleasing to the citizens of communities to name streets or portions of streets after local heroes. These heroes are sometimes sports legends, like in Seattle where they have an Edgar Martinez Way, or like in Wallace where there is part of Bank Street renamed after Harry Magnuson.

I suggest that there is one person from Wallace history that certainty deserves some proper recognition as being so influential that the name was known in the papers as far away as New York City, and was certainly known to every school boy in Wallace by the time that they entered puberty.
This person was responsible for large groups of tourists visiting Wallace, providing the newest in police cars for the city, paying for bank uniforms for Wallace High School Band, and other donations and causes that are way too numerous to mention.

I, Cedar Street Kid, hereby propose that a small part of the great street named " Cedar", be also known now and for generations to come as " Delores Arnold Way" Do I hear a second on that motion?

"And I'm climbing the stairway to heaven"
