The Losers

When NBC wanted an image for color programming they held auditions for the job. Word went out throughout the bird world, and every Tom, Dick and Harry, tried to strut their stuff. Here are a few of the losers. Pictured above is Tom. Now, tell me, who wold want a turkey to be they symbol of your company? Although, recent developments on their Tonight Show have some folks wondering if this might have been a more descriptive symbol.

And finally. there was this little guy. Cute. but not big enough to fill up the big screen.

Finally, there was the winner, and the rest they say is history. You might say he was as proud as a Peacock.I can't show him here because he is licensed and ect. But, if you rememberr him, you must be really old. (:)
