It Must Be The New Math

When I was in grade school Wallace population stood at slightly over 3,000 sturdy souls. Downtown was always full of cars, and there was seldom a vacant spot in front of one of the parking meters. Yes, Wallace had parking meters back then.

When I was in junior high, the population had slipped to around 2,700 folks, and the downtown are was full of cars, and there were very few vacant spots to park.

When I was in high school, the population had continued to decline, and now stood at around 2,500, give or take, and yes, you guessed it, there was still no place to park.

Fast forward many years to October 14, 2014, and the population of Wallace is around 800 left over folks. AND -------yes, there is still very few parking spaces open! As we know, laws of mathematics simply do not apply when it comes to my hometown of Wallace, Idaho.
